FT position with 40+ hours a week with stable company that offers benefits to all employees. Must have Mechanical aptitude, Ability to work unsupervised as a team member, Ability to understand and follow instructions, and have a High level of alertness and attention to detail. Shift Differential available to employees working a afternoon or overnight shift.
This is a 1st shift position (08:00-16:30) in our Compounding Department. Potential applicants must be open to a changing schedule and overtime and working on weekends on holidays. Although this is a first shift position, hours may change based on production demands. Employees may be asked to work first shift hours (example: 16:30-01:00) or third shift hours (example 19:00-03:30). Applicants must be able to work the hours that are assigned to them.
SUMMARY: Measure and blend the appropriate raw materials into the batches of medication required by the Filling Department. To transfer the blended medication into the proper receiving vessels through pre-filters for storage prior to release to production. Maintain cleanliness of all equipment required to perform the job task.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Identification and weighing of raw materials * Cleaning. inspection and assembly of blending equipment and holding tanks. * Assembly of filters and performance of pre-filtration process * Helping compounding chemist to perform passivation * Performance of all documentation functions connected with the batching process to provide proper accountability and traceability. * Clean and prepare the blending and storage tanks along with appropriate documentation. * Insuring the proper and timely calibration of all instruments related to the compounding operation. * Assisting Q.A., Chemistry and Inventory Control in the management of raw materials. with respect to quantity, suitability and expiration. * Clean compounding area * Maintains GMP, Regulatory and Safety compliance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: AA Degree desired. Experienced in batch compounding desired.
